Successful completion of this training earns you a certificate, which qualifies you to register with Yoga Alliance at the 200 Hour RYT Level.

The Center Studio is honored to be a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. We’ve provided over a dozen 200-hour yoga teacher training programs resulting in quality instructors that have gone on to teach successfully both locally and internationally. We are proud of our legacy and continue to evolve and improve our programs. Our next program will be a collaboration between several instructors with decades of combined knowledge, thousands of hours of training, and teaching experience.

This program was designed to help you expand your knowledge of yoga, while encouraging you to gain a greater understanding of yourself. The training goes beyond preparing you to teach a safe and effective yoga class and inspires you to deepen your practice in all aspects of yoga to create greater meaning and impact in your daily life. It's perfect for those that wish to become a certified yoga instructor or to simply deepen their own personal practice.

  • Yoga History and Philosophy

  • Primary emphasis on Vinyasa yoga with a focus on Baptiste Yoga Methodology and Principles

  • Advanced study of Asana (proper alignment, modifications, benefits and potential risks)

  • Anatomy for Yoga

  • The Art and Science of Sequencing

  • Subtle Body: Chakras/Bandhas/Pranayama

  • Cultivating your Teaching Voice

  • Hands on Assists

  • Practice Teaching

  • Meditation

  • Ethics of Teaching and the Business of Yoga

 
 

PRE-REQUISITES

  • At least one year of regular practice is recommended.

  • No prior teaching experience is required.

  • You do not need to be flexible or injury free.

  • The training is held in-person at our downtown location.  Training sessions are held in each of our studios which span three floors in our building.  Therefore, participants must be able to walk up and down stairs, often carrying yoga mats, books, etc.  In addition, participants must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time.

  • Dedication, motivation and self-directed studentship of yoga and the path of teaching.

  • Willingness to participate fully in group process, able to give and receive feedback.

 
 

BOOKS & MATERIALS

You will receive a teacher training manual and numerous handouts as the course progresses. You will also receive a required and suggested book list in advance of the start date. You will need to borrow or purchase the required books.

Our next program starts late January/early February 2025

Our 200-hour yoga teacher training program is conducted over 9 weekends.

 
 

SCHEDULE

Fridays 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Plus 2 classes per week at The Center Studio. More details on requirements for weekly classes will be provided at the start of training.

 
 

TUITION

Register early and get $200 off tuition! Specific dates for discount pricing is TBA, once 2025 schedule is announced.

Full tuition: $2,995 (requires $1,000 non-refundable deposit and remaining balance paid by the last weekend of training). Please note that $1,000 is non-refundable. Remaining balance is non-refundable once training begins. Thank you for understanding.

Tuition includes unlimited membership at the The Center Studio for the duration of training.  Your membership starts as soon as you register, so sign up early and get unlimited classes at The Center!

Andrew Stackhouse
Andrew Stackhouse

Andrew (aka ‘Stack’) co-owns The Center Studio with his wife Steph. Yoga has provided him with a path for healing and growing and is thankful everyday to live his passion. He loves to share with his students the practice of yoga as a moving meditation that provides challenge, growth, and many other physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. He completed his 200-hour teacher training at the Ashram Yoga Studio in Kirkland, WA, completed Level 1 Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste, in addition to advanced trainings through the Baptiste Institute, and earned his 500-hour certification with Jason Crandell in July, 2020. Andrew has provided mentorship to several teachers and has assisted and led multiple 200-hour yoga teacher training programs at The Center Studio. He’s excited to collaborate with amazing teachers to deliver this potent and impactful training to our community.

Tina Ventrella

Sincere, yet not so serious. I am a E-RYT 500 seasoned yoga teacher and practitioner, a retired BSN, RN having spent most of my nursing career in Surgical Trauma and Quality Assurance, and a Neurofeedback Practitioner, committed to high quality skillful intelligent yoga education.

I have owned a beautiful studio in Cary, NC and managed/directed 3 studios in Southern California. I have been a teacher educator both in nursing and in numerous 200 and 300 hour Yoga Alliance approved (and non YA, thank you Bryan Kest!) Yoga Teacher Training Programs from coast to coast. I have taught Vinyasa, Hatha, Power and Yin YTT’s over the past 23 years.

I am here to support you on your yoga journey. I am committed to inquiry, mindfulness, exploration and empowerment. My teaching is rooted in deep respect and years of practice in my lineage of Bhakti Yoga. I have practiced yoga everyday over the last 25 years, inclusive of Yoga's 8-Limbed Path. My practice today will be different from yesterday and different from tomorrow.

Smita Ganpule
Smita Ganpule

Raised in Yoga Philosophy in India, Smita believes that the benefits of Yoga practice should be accessible to people of all ages, shapes, sizes, abilities, genders, faiths and beliefs. She has been sharing her Gentle yoga practice with the community for the past seven years.

Smita will be leading our yoga history and philosophy training. She invites you to join her and grow with her in this journey of self-unfoldment.

Dr. Lauren Gastall
Dr. Lauren Gastall

Dr. Lauren Gastall is a pelvic health physical therapist, Pilates instructor, and Certified Health Coach. She attained her clinical doctorate at Quinnipiac University in 2015 then spent many years working as a traveling physical therapist. She recently moved to San Luis Obispo and has started practicing at Dr. Megan Mullin Physical Therapy. Lauren is also a telemedicine provider on Maven Clinic, the largest women’s and family telemedicine network. She specializes in pelvic floor therapy and is especially passionate about working with birthing people. Lauren is dedicated to helping her clients feel their best. Lauren will bring her knowledge of human anatomy to lead the Anatomy for Yoga portion of training.
